“Focusing” is a wonderful practice of listening to the body’s innate wisdom that was developed by philosopher Eugene Gendlin. Our wisdom is often there in the murky world of sensation or feeling and requires patience to enable it to come to consciousness. This practice can be done alone but is best done in partnerships and can be used in therapeutic settings as well.

Kelly Beale completed his “Whole Body Energy Focusing” training with Dr. Karen Whalen in the fall of 2008. This approach to focusing integrates polarity, energy tracking and modulation with traditional focusing to enhance the experience for both the focuser as well as the listener. The practice is completely client centred. Kelly integrates focusing into the bodywork setting bringing the light of presence that will facilitate the “letting go” or resolution of bodily tension or stress so often held from past or present difficulties.
